Winning the league title this season is going to be a push. Yes, we had a good run before the Livi draw and all is not lost. However, it’s glaringly obvious there’s going to be more bumps ahead this season.

The squad depth is still an issue. If you don’t believe me, just look at today at the Livingston draw. Without a resurgent Tom Rogic in the side we suffered even more against a low block.

Another big blow from the Saturday draw was Carl Starfelt pulling up and immediately calling to the bench his game was over. The Swede was holding his hamstring, clearly not good news.

If Carl is out for a period of time we again suffer from lack of depth. However, our saving grace could be Christopher Jullien’s imminent return.

Injuries to key players earlier this season really derailed our start to the season. If anymore of our stars pull up in the coming games – we will have a major issue.

The Celtic manager must play a balancing act between not rushing the Frenchman back and trying to get results in the mean time.

There’s talk of a bounce game happening to give Jullien some minutes, we expect that to go ahead and for Ange to assess where his defender is in terms of getting back into the match day squad.

January is a big month for Celtic, they need options, better depth and talent is a must.
