TOMMY WRIGHT has taken a swipe at former Celtic player and coach Peter Grant after he watched his goalkeeper put on a clinic against Celtic in Perth on Sunday.
Zander Clarke was the only reason why St Johnstone held on as long as they did and was not at fault for either goals scored by the champions as they got their 2-0 win in the end.
The Saints goalkeeper comes out of the game with plenty of plaudits and renewed calls for a Scotland call-up. The difficulty there is, his counterpart at the other end of the park is performing so well Zander is going to find it difficult.
Asked by the BBC if he believes his keeper would now get a call-up, Tommy Wright was far from interested and seemed a little bit irked by Peter Grant’s comments previously.
"When you've somebody like Peter Grant saying what he said about him [Zander Clark], which was totally disrespectful, Scotland can do what they want."

Does the Saints boss have a point? Peter Grant put down Zander’s exclusion to Celtic putting 6 past him earlier this season.
Peter Grant should stay away from talking to the press, never does anything but make him come across as an idiot
