BRENDAN RODGERS believes Andrew Davies should face further punishment for his assault on Scott Brown.

The cowardly County Captain took his opportunity to dangerously stamp on Broony while he was already down on the ground. Prompting a passionate and angry response from Stuart Armstrong who was close to the incident.

Davies was given his marching orders and the Celtic manager believes Davies let everybody at his club down and if Jozo got a two-match ban for an innocuous elbow then the Ross County man should be in the dock for a longer ban.

“Of course, they went down to ten men. It was a really bad challenge. I feel for the Ross County staff, who are trying to keep this team in the league, and I feel for their supporters who have travelled all the way down”

“If you watch it again, it’s a really poor challenge. If Jozo Simunovic gets two games for a slight elbow then I don’t know what that will be”

Celtic ran out 3-0 winners against County with three goals from Dembele, Armstrong and Rogic.
