FORMER Footballer Stan Collymore and Martin O’Neill had a bit of banter at Ireland’s latest press conference ahead of the sides crunch tie with Denmark this evening.

During the interview, O’Neill and Stan stopped to have some banter after the footballer turned Journalist caught the Irishman’s attention.

When asked by the Irishman if he spoke Russian, Collymore said: “I could teach you a bit.”

O’Neill replied: “You taught me a lot, Stan. Some of the things are unrepeatable. You taught me how to live.”

Having answered the former striker’s questions, O’Neill added: “He was actually a very good player for us [turning to Collymore] until you broke your leg, really good.

“Remember that hat-trick against Sunderland? You and Heskey up front.”

Collymore said: “I remember it well. You should have taken me to Celtic, mind. But never mind. Maybe in the next lifetime.”

Ireland has the chance to qualify for the World Cup tonight if they can get past Denmark.

  1. Maybe if you hadn’t charged aboot like Billy Big Baws thinking you were Gods’ gift to football and smacking women about we might have signed you. Too immature to be a Celtic player at that time and past it by the time you grew up.
