Two promising young Celtic players have earned international call-ups ahead of the summer.
Celtic B captain Matthew Anderson and midfielder Ben Summers, who has already debuted for the first team, have been selected by Scot Gemmill for the Scotland under-21s.

Gemmill’s team is scheduled to play two friendly matches in June, both against Norway in Spain. This presents a fantastic opportunity for the young players to showcase their skills on the international stage. Considering Anderson is only 19 and Summers is even younger at 18, their inclusion in an under-21 squad is particularly noteworthy.
During Scotland’s two matches, both players will be keen to make the most of any playing time they receive, with an eye on securing future call-ups.
From Celtic’s perspective, it’s a positive sign that more of the club’s talents are representing their countries at a high level. However, the players might have mixed feelings, as the training camp could encroach on their summer holidays.
