Young Celtic duo Stephen Welsh and Adam Montgomery have been selected by Scot Gemmill for Scotland under-21s fixture against Denmark at the beginning of next month.
The two academy graduates have been awarded for their start to the season, becoming regulars in Ange Postecoglou’s squad with a second call-up of the campaign to the u21s squad.

Many fans would say it is well deserved with their displays so far. Barring the mistake for the goal from Welsh on Sunday, neither player has really put a foot wrong in the side, which has led to the former Socceroos boss trusting them with a place in his squad.
Last time out on international duty, both players played their part in a 1-1 draw to kick off the qualifying campaign for Scotland’s young side, away from home in Turkey, with Montgomery picking up an assist and Welsh captaining the eleven on the night.
They face another tough test this time out as Denmark travels to Scotland looking to build on their opening 1-0 victory against Kazakhstan.
The game will take place on Thursday the 7th of October at Tynecastle Stadium – 7.05 pm kick-off.
That sounds about right two stars on the way up and there are a few more that will follow them from Celtic..
Can’t believe Scott Robertson is still being overlooked for the U21 Squad
