Zenit defender Emanuel Mammana has told Celtic to expect a hot atmosphere in the Krestovsky Stadium on Thursday evening stating the noise their fans generate is ‘comparable’ to Celtic Park.
The bold claim was made as the mind games between the two teams before their showdown Thursday ramp up a notch.
Speaking to the media Mammana told Celtic to expect the noise to throw them off:
“We must always win at home. We are absolutely focused on the result and I hope the fans will help us with this too. I’m sure Celtic will feel the atmosphere in our stadium, it’s comparable to theirs”
Some of Mammana’s teammates spoke at the weekend about how the Celtic Park atmosphere got to the team on the night.
If they were used to that sort of noise and atmosphere then they would have been unfazed.
Zenit are favourites to win the second leg just like they were favourites to win the 1st leg tie. It’s up to Celtic to send Mancini’s men packing!
