Celtic Women ended their Rangers hoodoo in Sunday afternoon’s Scottish Cup Final at Hampden Park.
The Hoops saw off their rivals 1-0 in the showpiece finale to end the season at the national stadium thanks to Morgan Cross’s goal in the first-half of the action.
It had been a nervy end to the clash after Emma Lawton had been sent off for the leaders but Grant Scott’s Ghirls managed the game well and lifted the trophy at the final whistle for the first time since 2023.
Celebrations were wild at full-time with the players enjoying their day on the pitch after collecting their medals.
But they partied into the evening in the changing room and even found time to mock their rivals by singing Tina Turner’s ‘The Best’ anthem, as captured on footage by the club’s official channels.

It was a mirror of the Celtic men’s team doing the same thing after winning the Scottish Premiership on the final day of the season thanks to an exhausting 3-1 victory over Hearts in Glasgow.
The tune had been synonymous with Rangers who walk out to the song at Ibrox.
However in recent seasons, Hoops supporters have belted it out themselves – as the dominant force in Scottish football – to troll their old foes.
A short clip was posted on the official social accounts of the squad in a Huddle singing and dancing and it racked up thousands of likes and shares after it was shared.
It was a well earned piece of silverware for Celtic on Sunday as they were forced to roll with the punches following the sending off before the hour mark.
Some strong performances – Kelly Clark, Lisa Robertson and goalkeeper Adelaide Gay – in particular helped ensure the victory while also grabbing a first win over the Light Blues in two years.
Despite a disappointing fifth-place SWPL finish for the Ghirls, momentum is now with the team who should be able to build upon their success into next season.
