The forward joined from Melbourne City in his homeland Australia, where the 21-year-old played for three years.

Starting his career at Sydney FC, Tilio made his first-team debut in 2019 as a 17-year-old in a AFC Champions League clash against Kawasaki Frontale.

After one goal in six appearances, he moved to Melbourne City in 2020 where he scored 20 goals in 82 appearances, 10 of those coming in his final season.

A four-time A-League Premiership champion, his performances in the 2022/23 season earned him a space in the league’s team of the season.

His stunning club form has seen him represent his country, earning seven caps before signing for the Hoops, as well as a place in the 2022 FIFA World Cup squad. After making his senior national team debut in 2019 at the Copa America against Uruguay, he played in Japan's wins over Hong Kong and South Korea in the 2022 East Asian Championship in his home country.
