As the team prepares for a decisive Glasgow Derby that could clinch the Premiership title, their scouting team is equally focused on strengthening the squad for the future.

Aiden McGinlay, 17, has quickly risen through the ranks, impressing in both Queen’s Park’s under-18 and B teams after initially developing at Partick Thistle’s youth system. His performances have not only caught the eye of Celtic but also attracted interest from English clubs, including newly promoted Premier League side Ipswich Town and Championship playoff contenders Norwich City.

According to the Daily Record, both Ipswich and Norwich are keen on McGinlay, with Ipswich having previously hosted the young Scot for a two-week trial. Despite not signing him then, Ipswich has continued to monitor his progress, indicating strong ongoing interest.

Celtic’s pursuit of McGinlay shows a commitment to investing in young talent. The midfielder, who is also a Scotland under-17 international, is considered one of the bright talents emerging from Scottish football.
