While Brendan Rodgers and his team prepare for the biggest Glasgow Derby of the season, the club are still putting the finishing touches on the Player of the year award which will be held in the SSE Hydro.

Celtic take on Rangers on Saturday midday, and by Sunday night, the hydro will be lit up green and white as the club celebrate their players past and present.

There’s a who’s who of Celtic legends and former players attending the event, none bigger than Henrik Larsson who will be picking up a special recognition award.

Odsonne Edouard

Beyond that, Celtic has confirmed today that French Eddy will be back in front of the Hoops support for the first time in a long time.

The man who was signed under Brendan Rodgers during the Irishman’s first stint will be at the event to present an award.

In the same announcement, Neil Lennon and Samaras will also be there to do the same.

Edouard was part of the incredible era at Celtic where they won everything, four years on the bounce. His time at the club ended in that poor COVID season where Celtic’s heart and soul was ripped out when their fans were locked out of the stadium.

He moved onto Crystal Palace as fans began to return to football when Ange took over. Now he gets to reunite with the Celtic fans back in Glasgow.

Maybe Rodgers can convince him to stay!! There are still tickets available for the night, so get along for this special Hoops celebration. Tickets here.

  1. Talented player who started to believe his own publicity, trying to dribble past one man too many.

Latterly couldn’t get away quick enough, downed tools and became a lazy liability.

Can’t imagine why he was asked back.

    Who’s next, Mo ‘Judas’ Johnston?
