Japanese central defender, Yuki Kobayashi joined the Hoops in November 2022.
Regarded as a hugely exciting talent, he signed for Celtic from J-League club Vissel Kobe on a five-year deal.

Yuki joined up with his new Celtic team mates at a training camp in Portugal during the FIFA World Cup break in December 2022, before being eligible to play competitively when the registration window opened in January 2023.
The central defender played with Kyogo Furuhashi at Vissel Kobe in the J-League and having watched his former team-mate become a firm fans’ favourite at Paradise, Yuki Kobayashi is keen to follow in the striker’s footsteps.

He made his debut for the club on January 18 2023, during a 4–0 victory against St Mirren in the SPFL and was part of the squad that won all three major domestic honours to secure a record 8th domestic treble.
