According to Tasmin News, Former Celtic striker Anthony Stokes will report back to training in Iran after leaving the country earlier this month.

The Irishman just penned a new deal with the club in November, but the striker left their training base a few weeks back under circumstances which led to Tractor Sazi filing a complaint with FIFA.

At the time, a Sazi directory did say Stokes had left the country for personal reasons but made no mention if he would make a return or not.

It now looks like Anthony will be back with his Iranian team and training to get back in the squad in the coming weeks.

Stokes had hit the ground running over in Iran after the unusual move which left a lot of fans stunned.

After the news the player had gone AWOL again, it seemed like his Iranian move was over.

It seems he’s back – for the time being anyway.

  1. If Tony wants to keep up his fitness and tan. He should chose IRAn. If he wishes to remain unfit and peely wally and run about some PUBLIC park to retain his rain tan. Then chose the Uk or Scandinavia. Easy ain’t it Tone.
