Confirmed Celtic Starting XI vs St Mirren: Baur and Hassan Start

Martin O’Neill has named his Celtic starting XI to face St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership at the Marbill Coaches Stadium tonight.

Celtic travel to Paisley with a perfect league record after winning all four of their Premiership matches so far this season.

The Hoops were comfortable in midweek, beating Aberdeen 3-0 at Celtic Park with Camilo Durán, Benjamin Nygren and Yang Hyun-jun all finding the net before half-time.

That result followed a 2-1 victory over Falkirk and moved Celtic onto 12 points at the top of the table.

St Mirren have also made an impressive start. Craig McLeish’s side sit second with 10 points from their opening four games after winning 1-0 away to Kilmarnock on Wednesday.

O’Neill had a number of fitness issues to contend with heading into tonight’s game.

Kieran Tierney and Kasper Høgh were both described as “very, very unlikely” to feature after missing the win over Aberdeen, while Alistair Johnston and Jota remain longer-term absentees.

New signing Landon Emenalo is also currently sidelined through injury.

Callum Osmand also remains out with the ankle injury he suffered against Falkirk, with no firm return date yet confirmed.
