Kasper Høgh

Kasper Høgh became Celtic’s record signing on 28 July 2026, joining from Bodø/Glimt for a fee of around £11million rising with add-ons, on a four-year deal with the option of a fifth. He took the number 9 shirt vacated by the summer’s departures and announced himself with a hat-trick in a 5-1 win at Kilmarnock on 9 August – his second league game for the club.

Born in Randers, Høgh came through his hometown club before a slow burn through Danish football: a loan to Valur in Iceland, a spell at Hobro in the second tier, then AaB in the Superliga. It was a move to Norway that changed everything. Five goals in 14 games for Stabæk earned him a transfer to Bodø/Glimt in 2024, where he scored 54 goals with 22 assists in 103 games, won the Eliteserien title in 2024 and the Norwegian Cup in 2026, and finished joint top scorer of the 2024/25 Europa League with seven goals. He added five goals in 12 Champions League appearances in 2025/26, facing Manchester City, Atlético Madrid and Inter along the way.

Capped by Denmark in 2026 after coming through the Under-18s and Under-19s, Høgh is a 6ft 1in centre-forward who holds the ball up, runs the channels and finishes with either foot – O’Neill called him “a player of real quality with a good level of experience of domestic and European competition.”
