Martin O’Neill has delivered a cautious update on Kasper Høgh after the Celtic record signing missed the 2-1 win over Falkirk.

The Celtic boss revealed that he does not expect the injury to be long-term and refused to rule out a return to the squad on Wednesday against Aberdeen at Celtic Park.
He said: (TCW), “Kasper’s got, I don’t know the medical terms, I don’t know, a doctor thing here at this minute.
“And I thought that for we’re going to go, that was the first of seven games in 20, 21, 22 days. So it’s a matter of just keeping, keeping an eye on him.
“I’m hoping he’ll be fit for for Wednesday. I’m really not sure. But I’m hoping he will be, you know?”
Camilo Durán filled in for Høgh up front and scored twice, impressing in his first competitive start in his natural position after playing off the right since facing Dundee in the opening game of the season.

Høgh being back in training would therefore represent a major boost and ease some of the concern over Celtic’s attacking options.
Celtic still have Johnny Kenny as another striker option, although the Irish forward’s future remains unclear at the time of writing.
If Osmand is ruled out for any extended period, that could mean Kenny stays and becomes the Hoops’ third-choice striker.
