LATE ON THURSDAY NIGHT, a photo emerged on social media showing Ange Poestecoglou and his wife ‘dining’ with Ibrox gaffer, Giovanni Van Bronkhorst, and Director of Football, Ross Wilson.
The image circulated social media with many fans giving their opinion on the meetup but Ange has confirmed they did not meet up for a meal and bumped into one another in their local cafe.
He was surprised he was posed the question, but his reply will be one of his best ones yet;
“Husband has morning off and goes for breakfast with his wife in his favourite establishment, bumps into colleague and has a chat.
“How’s that?!” [The Times]
Ange handles the media brilliantly and doesn’t mess about it. He is to the point and often quite straight, embarrassing journalists for their silly questions.
The meet-up was nothing more than a coincidence and demonstrates that in Glasgow, bumping into someone that lives nearby and having the manners to talk to them causes uproar. It was an overreaction from all involved, with the photo deliberately misinterpreting what was going on between the two parties.
Just as it should be manners….
