GLASGOW CITY COUNCIL website has confirmed that Celtic FC has had their request for a procession on the 28th May; a day after the Scottish Cup final, also the day of the Larsson vs Lubo legends match.
The website states that the precessions will start at 11:30, assembly point at Fullarton drive and will head up London Road to Celtic Park.
The club are putting on a whole week of festivities on that week to celebrate the 50th anniversary of our famous triumph in Lisbon.
The GCC website states that the procession will have 40 people involved but the club have yet to say what they will be doing for it.
Perhaps they will march the European Cup up London Road and back into Paradise.
It’s certainly going to be a great week of build-up from the club and with the prospect of a Scottish cup final on the Saturday where Celtic could secure a treble, it could be extra special.
Might need to add more people to the procession to carry all the silverware!
HAIL HAIL !
Fingers crossed we get a decent pitch and ref at hampden in the semi so that we get to the final.
