Alan Stubbs has claimed Celtic have a big problem and Ange Postecoglou could be Celtic’s Mark Warburton if he doesn’t become a bit more pragmatic.

The former Celtic defender and Hibs boss revealed he’s concerned at the lack of a plan b by the Australian – something Warburton was famous for during his time at Ibrox.

Ange refuses to compromise on his style and the way he wants to play – it’s admirable and at this point in time he shouldn’t be waving the white flag.

There’s going to be more stuff like this from ex-players, fans and pundits alike if Celtic continue to get poor results. The Livingstone defeat consigned us to a worst start in twenty years, taking only half of the points available to us in the first six games.

Stubbs wants to see a plan B:

“Celtic don’t have the balance right between attacking and defending at the moment.” Stubbs told SunSport.

“In fact, they are at their weakest and their most vulnerable when they are on the front foot, because a turnover can quickly put them under pressure.

“This is a problem which really needs to be resolved as soon as possible.

“Ange insists this is the way he will always play, but that reminds me of Mark Warburton when he was at Rangers.

“Warburton infamously said, ‘Plan B is to do Plan A better’, but that didn’t work out for him and Postecoglou needs to show some flexibility now.

“You need to be able to change things around when games aren’t going your way.”

Celtic have a number of players on the sidelines and new signings still bedding into the team. The bhoys have gone under a massive rebuild over the summer and not everything is going to clock straight away. That doesn’t mean Celtic fans won’t be on board — most of the defeats this season the fans have taken away positives from the game. The first defeat that has fans concerned was the Livingston game.

We need to stick with Ange and allow him the time to properly implement his style.
