OVER THE PAST WEEK, reports linking Celtic to Mohammed Abu Fani have increased.

The midfielder is thought to want away from his current club, with his agents in talks with Maccabi Haifa. Funnily enough, Dudu Duhan is the owner of the player’s agency.

It was reported by many outlets, including the Scottish Daily Express, that Celtic would need to pay a fee of £800,000 to acquire Abu Fani’s services. However, this might not be the case.

It’s reported that there is a release clause included in the player’s contract, meaning Maccabi Haifa may well hold out and wait for that to be activated. It’s said that this release clause is the equivalent of £1.7 million, about £1 million more than what many outlets thought. [Hayom]

It’s believed that the player is keen to move abroad and is open to the idea of Celtic.

With Celtic losing players like Nir Bitton and Tom Rogic, Ange Postecoglou will likely venture into the market to find some replacements for the players.

With the team set to play two games a week, squad players to be used as rotation will be key this season.
