Former Celtic flop Jeremy Toljan has been linked with a sensational move to Bayern Munich according to reports in Italy.

The former Celtic loanee, brought in from Dortmund back in 2019, failed to make the grade at Celtic. After a convincing debut, the player’s game rapidly declined. The upheaval in the manager’s position after the defender arrived would have also been problematic. Jeremy was technically Brendan Rodgers’s final signing as Celtic boss.

The defender played 14 games for Celtic, starting 10.

Jeremy never looked comfortable in the team and would ultimately fall away while Mikael Lustig would keep the right-back position.

After his Celtic deal was done, the defender headed back to Dortmund where he was loaned out to Italian side Sassuolo before a permanent deal was reached to sign the player full time for the Serie A club

RecordSport is claiming reports in Italy have Toljan on a shortlist to join Bayern Munich in the summer in what would be some turnaround for the player.

We haven’t kept tabs on Toljan much since he left Celtic, but perhaps he’s been catching the eye in Italian football enough to alert the Bundesliga that he might be worth a high profile return.
