If I was a betting man, I would say John Kennedy is putting out a team today he would like to start against The Rangers next weekend.

The Celtic coach surprisingly dropped Ryan Christie and Deigo Laxalt from the team, Rogic and Griff were also pulled from the starting XI after the Falkirk game.

Kennedy has done this to allow Forrest and Moi to play in a 4-2-3-1. This formation only works when you have natural wide men and for the first time since the start of the season, we have that with James Forrest back in the side.

In my opinion, it’s a good move by the interim Celtic boss and could be Celtic’s strongest formation as long as the players can hold up their need of the bargain.

Edouard the lone striker will be aided by David Turnbull no doubt and the wingers doing their thing.

We need to stretch opponents and this is the way to do it.

Ryan Christie has not had one good Glasgow Derby to date and today’s formation suggest John Kennedy knows that.

A solid win for Celtic today against a well-drilled Livingston side would be a confidence booster.

A clean sheet would be nice.
