Aaron Hickey to Celtic has become a long saga. The Hoops had him in their ranks twice and both times they let him move away to Hearts.
The left-back impressed in the Tynecastle first team which prompted Celtic to AGAIN try to bring Hickey to the club in a first team capacity.
The Celtic fan opted to go to Bologna last season and play his football in Italy.
A year on and the rumours still won’t go away, what’s more, Aaron is very aware of the interest.
As quoted by SunSport, Hickey said: “Well I am fully aware that there has been interest.
“I can see it all – but I have just got to keep my head down and keep my full focus on Bologna just now.”
Celtic have Greg Taylor, Boli Bolingoli and Adam Montgomery at left back right now. You’d imagine Adam will join the Colt side in the lowland league next season leaving just Taylor and Boli.
It remains to be seen if Boli has a future at the club after his antics last season. I’m sure that decision will come down to his ability rather than Boli’s past at Celtic.
There would be room for Hickey to come in and challenge for a first team place but would bologna sell up a season on?
