The Celtic manager has praised his newest signing, David Turnbull after the player battled back from adversity to win his move to the Scottish Champions.
David was confirmed as a Celtic player on Thursday, 14 months after he sat in the boardroom at Celtic Park, with his New Balance Celtic jersey and thought he had made his dream move.
It all fell apart when his medical threw up a serious knee problem which had to be corrected. A major operation and nearly a year of rehab later and he finally signed on the dotted line.
Lennon is thrilled and believes David will have a big impact.
? NL: (on Turnbull signing) – “I’m absolutely delighted. We’ve got a brilliant young Scottish talent. He’s overcome a lot of obstacles and that speaks volumes for his character. He’s a top player and I want him to flourish here.” #CELMOT

Celtic take on Motherwell on Sunday where David could debut against his former side. It would be an interesting move to throw him straight into the mix but there’s no reason why it can’t happen. The player has had a full pre-season and started the SPFL season brilliantly with his former club.
