Adam Idah would have been Celtic’s Glasgow derby hero had it not been for a late Rabbi Matondo leveller at Ibrox on Sunday.
The Irishman was introduced with just over 20 minutes to go and made quite the impact. He ruffled a few feathers in the Rangers’ backline and slotted home a few minutes from time.
Post-match, the Norwich loanee spoke to Celtic TV, admitting that his maiden experience of the Glasgow derby was “crazy”.
Idah also promised that he and his teammates will be ready for the next clash between the sides, which is due to take place after the much-anticipated Scottish Premiership split.
He said: “I thought the boys done excellent from start to finish; to get the early goal was amazing, it was crazy!
“My first time being here, it’s amazing, and what the boys did with no fans is fantastic, so it was a good experience, but I’m looking forward to playing them at home.
“Look, we take each game as it comes now. We’ve got a game next Saturday, and that’ll be a good test for us; when the next game comes (vs Rangers), we’ll be ready for it.”
Since joining Celtic on loan at the tail-end of the winter transfer window, the 23-year-old has made quite the impact.
In 11 appearances for the Hoops so far, Idah has scored six times and assisted a further twice. He averages a goal contribution every 70 minutes in green and white and up to this point, his acquisition has been successful.
