STUART ARMSTRONG is ramping up efforts to be available for Celtic’s crunch Euro tie next week against Zenit St Petersburg.

The midfielder has been out of action since January and was thought to be out until the end of February but it appears the Scottish International is doing everything in his power to be available for selection.

Celtic face a tough test against Russian opposition and with so many injuries it’s becoming increasingly tougher.

The first leg of the tie will be played 15th February at Celtic Park.

Rodgers was already handed a boost yesterday when longtime injured Anthony Ralston came through a developmental game unscathed.
