ALBIAN AJETI has spoken out after his move to Strum Graz was confirmed on Wednesday afternoon.

The Celtic flop has moved out on loan for the season after it was made clear to him he wouldn’t be getting a game with Celtic.

Ange Postecoglou hasn’t seen anything in Albian to keep him around and has brought in much stronger options to lead the line since last summer.

Brought in by Neil Lennon, the player’s stint at Celtic hasn’t been very positive. Albian is now looking to revive his career and play first team football with a team in the Europa League.

Speaking to the official Sturm Graz website, Ajeti said:

“The conversations with SK Sturm Graz, Andreas Schicker and coach Christian Ilzer immediately convinced me and immediately made me feel like I was here in the right place at the right time. Sturm Graz is a big club with a great tradition and I am very pleased to be able to meet in Graz in the future. I want to contribute my qualities and experience as quickly as possible and thus help the team both in the championship and in the upcoming group phase of the Europa League.”

Sky Sports reporter Anthony Joseph confirmed Strurm do have an option to buy the striker at the end of the deal for around £2m.

Hopefully Albian’s loan deal will help the club recoup some of the money they paid out to West Ham.

  1. Another good move by Celtic. No point having players at the club who are so far down the pecking order that they’ll likely never play.

We’ve now sold or loaned out an incredible squad size worth of footballers, 17 in total(transfermarkt), this window!
