The news broke late last night but it appears the ball continues to roll as Celtic get set to announce their second summer signing in Albian Ajeti according to The Guardian.
Ajeti was signed by West Ham last summer and only made 12 appearances for the London side before being cast aside. Before that, his record for Basel was outstanding, the striker was prolific in his home country.
With West Ham having no plans for him, the report claims Celtic will take the 23-year-old on-loan with an option to buy next summer.
This would see Albian link up with former Basel teammate Moi Elyounoussi at Celtic Park.
It’s unknown where the player will fit in, and who will make way for the striker in the squad. Vakoun Bayo seems like the obvious Celtic player to drop out and perhaps look to move on from the club.
There is the case Celtic are making plans just in case Edouard leaves before the end of the window which isn’t due to close until October.
