We’d like to see hungry players out at Rugby Park tonight looking to prove a point.

Neil Lennon has said he’s being let down by some of his players, so surely there will now be changes for the meeting with Kilmarnock.

Celtic fans know the league is over but they will still watch their team to the bitter end and they need something to get excited about.

For me, playing young, potential future stars is the way of keeping supporters engaged in the team as they play out the rest of the campaign.

I’m not talking about a full reserve side, but sprinkle in some more youth players.

Stephen Welsh would be a prime example of starting a young player who has a point to prove.

Playing Shane Duffy and Nir Bitton ahead of Welsh is seen as counter productive. Do we know if Stephen has the correct attributes and ability to make it? No, we don’t, but now is the time to find out.

  1. Was desperate to see big Shane do well at CP, for a variety of reasons, but it seems his spel with us is doomed for what seems like his own , variety of reasons.
The last time I saw a player come to CPsuch fantastic expectations and fail, was Tommy Graveson!
Duffy’s been an abject failure, he really must be dropped, and I take absolutely no pleasure in saying that.
