The manager is officially in the building at Lennoxtown ahead of taking the team tomorrow. If you keep in touch with the club’s or our own social media feeds, you would have seen the images of the new CEO and manager on the tarmac after landing.

Ange Postecoglou flew into Glasgow this morning after his isolation period in London, followed by extensive talks with Dominic McKay before the pair flew up the road to get down to business this morning.

Speaking to the club website, Ange was delighted to finally get the tour of Lennoxtown and check over what’s been implemented in the last two weeks since he became the Celtic manager.

The Australian has been liaising with many of the departments at Lennoxtown so things were in place for his arrival.

“It’s great to be here,” he said. “It’s been a tough three weeks to get here but I’m super happy to be here now.

‘It’s been a bit of a whirlwind and I knew it wouldn’t sink in that I’m the new Celtic manager until I got here. Now I can get cracking and start working.’

“I got to meet everyone and put everything in place that we need to. It’s been fantastic. I already had some familiarity with it but it’s a great set-up. The people here are fantastic and I’m looking forward to working with everyone. Everyone keeps warning me about the weather but it all looks pretty beautiful at the moment.”

Celtic will be at Lennoxtown for the next week and a half before flying down to Wales to undergo an intense pre-season training camp.

The new manager won’t get to meet the whole squad with those away on international duty afforded time for a break before they meet up with the squad.

There’s no time to waste when it comes to the work that needs to be done. New players need to be brought in as well as old players shipped out. The enormity of the task that lies ahead can’t be understated.
