Former Celtic boss and current Spurs manager, Ange Postecoglou, is reportedly keen to reunite with the Portuguese winger, and Tottenham is poised to propose a loan deal.

Jota had a brilliant two years at Celtic, securing two Scottish Premiership titles and notably part of the world record eighth treble in his second season.

His decision to leave Celtic Park coincided with Postecoglou’s move to the Premier League. While Postecoglou’s journey to England’s top tier has been successful, Jota’s time in Saudi Arabia has been less than ideal.

The 24-year-old Portuguese star has been sidelined due to Saudi Pro League’s rules which limit the number of foreign players to eight per team. This left Jota with only five appearances and a single goal to his name, after which he was excluded from the primary squad.

Ange Postecoglou could soon reunite with the player, but there could still be some obstacles on the way, with the club potentially looking to shift their stance on the player.
