Postecoglou, who hails from Australia, departed Celtic unexpectedly after two memorable years at the helm. During his tenure, he led the Hoops to an impressive haul of five out of six domestic trophies, culminating in a treble in his final season.

Under his guidance, Celtic underwent a notable transformation, both on the playing field and off it. His departure to Tottenham Hotspur left a void in the club, subsequently filled by Brendan Rodgers. However, the Celtic faithful clearly have a soft spot for Postecoglou’s distinctive style, with many missing watching AngeBall week in week out.

While speaking on TalkSPORT with Simon Jordon and Jim White, the Australian coach was asked if he had a message for the Celtic supporters who still hold him in high regard. Postecoglou warmly responded:

“It was a magical time for me [at Celtic].

“I’ve gone from managing one of the most famous football clubs in the world to managing one of the biggest. I’m living the dream.

“My two years at Celtic, I don’t even need to tell people, they’ll stay with me forever; that’s mainly because of the supporters.

“It was a magical couple of years there, and I keep saying to everyone, if you’ve got a bucket list of clubs that you want to be involved with, Celtic has to be at the top of that list.”
