CHRISTOPHER JULLIEN has been fit and back in training since the beginning of February but he’s yet to start a Celtic game this season and has found himself out of the match day squad altogether in many instances.

Lots of fans would’ve expected Chris to go straight back into the matchday squad and challenge both centre-backs for their place in the team, but it hasn’t transpired that way.

It appears from the outside that Ange doesn’t fancy the big French defender who is about to enter the final year of his Celtic contract.

On the chances of Chris getting game time in the final two games of the season, the Celtic manager told The Cynic: “He’s training hard and he’s available, so we’ll see how these couple of games go.

Sometimes a new manager comes in and deems a player who once was a first team starter isn’t what he needs. That’s not an enticement of Chris and his ability but Ange has a very specific view of his team, system and the players who fit into that system.

If Jullien isn’t part of the manager’s plans in the summer, expect some movement in the transfer market.

If Celtic officially win the league on Wednesday we could see Jullien play in the final game of the season at Celtic Park against Motherwell.
