Celtic have seen another behind the scenes exit this week according to reports.
SunSport are reporting head of Sports Science Jack Nayler has left his post at the club after being headhunted by German side Leipzig.
Nayler was brought into the fold back in 2016 by Brendan Rodgers and remained at the club after the Irishman left his post to head to Leicester.
From what we can gather, Jack was still wanted at Celtic and his exit will cause a headache for the Hoops hierarchy s they look to replace him.
The good news is Dom McKay and Ange Postecoglou will have a major say in who comes in next to replace Jack.
Sports Science is a massive thing for all clubs and Ange Postecoglou told CeltsAreHere at the fan press conference he looks to gain any edge he can over the opposition and sports science would play a part in doing that along with analytics.
A Leipzig statement said: “Dr. Helge Riepenhof’s performance unit will be expanded next season to include the Sports Science department, which will be led by Jack Nayler.”
Nayler will now work with one time Celtic target Jesse Marsch at the German club.
