Antoine Griezmann has tuned up for his visit to Celtic Park on Wednesday by hitting his 250th club goal on Saturday evening, taking on Carl Starfelt’s Celta Vigo.
The Frenchman was given the responsibility from the spot after Celta Vigo’s goalkeeper was sent off for preventing a goal scoring opportunity.
Griezmann stepped up and hit the ball safely into the back of the net.
The prolific frontman will be in the mood to add to his goal tally when he visits Celtic Park. It’s up to newly fit Cameron Carter-Vickers and Liam Scalds to stop him and his Atletico teammates.
The back to back games against the Spaniards could seal our fate in the competition for another season if we continue to make silly mistakes.
