Artur Boruc has become a champion again at the age of 41 with Legia Warsaw.

The holy goalie made an emotional return to his former club at the beginning of the season where he was brought in as a backup.

However, the goalkeeper has ended the season as the polish side’s number one and he’s helped them to a title win in the process.

Artur was highly successful at Celtic and has enjoyed a top career – playing in Italy and England as well as Scotland.

Many thought the goalkeeper would hang up his gloves after his Bournemouth spell was over but not Artur.

The eccentric goalie has no intention of quitting the game even next season as he eyes more trophies with Legia.

Artur was briefly linked with a return to Celtic at the start of the season before Vasilis Barkas was brought in from AEK. [RecordSport]

It was seen as a backwards move by most fans at the time.

  1. If we had have brought him back, even as backup, there’s no way he’d have put up with the nonsense from the likes of Ntcham. Punches would have been swiftly distributed to knock the bad attitude out of them and knock a bit of understanding of what it means to play for Celtic into them. Maybe then we’d have a tenth title and have saved £5m by not buying Barkas.
