Celtic announced the signing of Jota on Friday morning, penning a four-year deal after his successful loan spell in Glasgow.

Despite not getting much of a look in at Benfica, that Portuguese club still wished him well as he left the club. Jota’s boyhood team took time to put together a video showing the Celtic winger’s best moments starting from when he was a young boy.

It’s fair to say that the 23-year-old has always been a gifted player, using his tricky feet to leave defenders behind.

Jota’s A Great Talent

Jota has shown to be a class player, who is probably verging too good for the Scottish League. The player will certainly boost Celtic’s chances in the Champions League this year, with him starring in Europe’s second-tier last season.

It’s a great coup for the club, but it shows the pull that Celtic now have. With Champions League football to offer and a top manager it’s an attractive club to play for at the moment.

  1. He’s brilliant and you’re right he’s too good to be playing in our league but we can enjoy him while he’s here. He’s such a lovely boy too and he gets what it means to be a Celtic player, he loves us and we love him too. Ange is building a good team and I’m hopeful that we can do well in the Champions League this year as that’s what’s missing to us as a support. It’s great sweeping the boards domestically but we’ve not reached a quarter final of the main competition since 1980 and that’s far too long at a club like Celtic.
