Celtic’s rising loan star, Bernardo, took to social media on Tuesday evening to celebrate the team’s 3-0 victory over St Mirren.

The Portuguese midfielder experienced a mixed start at the club after signing on deadline day.

Initially limited to sporadic appearances in the first half of the season, his tenure at Celtic ignited on Boxing Day with a vital goal against Dundee. Four days later, he scored the opening goal in a crucial 2-1 victory over fierce rivals The Rangers.

Although he didn’t score at St Mirren on Tuesday, Bernardo provided two impressive assists: a skillful spin and pivot leading to Matt O’Riley’s goal, and a perfectly measured pass that Greg Taylor converted for Celtic’s third.

In just ten days, Bernardo has transformed from an unknown quantity to a Celtic hero. His evident confidence and talent suggest he could play a significant role for the rest of the season.

Expressing his thoughts on Instagram, Bernardo remarked, “Together as a team should be! Nice way to start the year and we’ll go for more.”

With the winter shutdown commencing, Celtic will have a brief hiatus before returning later in January to face Buckie Thistle in the Scottish Cup.
