With Celtic poised to potentially all but clinch the league title with a win, Kyogo’s role could prove critical in this high-stakes encounter.

Kyogo has been a decisive player in recent matches, including a notable performance in Celtic’s last game where he scored twice in a 3-0 victory over Hearts.

Despite a slight dip in his prolific scoring form from his first two seasons at Celtic, Kyogo continues to deliver in crucial moments. This season, he has already netted two impressive goals against Rangers, showcasing his ability to execute spectacular finishes from outside the box.

His first goal against Rangers this season was a stunning half-volley at Ibrox, while his second, a precise strike into the top corner at Parkhead, highlighted his skill in creating and exploiting space.

Rodgers commented on Kyogo’s effectiveness, particularly noting his sharp instincts in front of goal: “Kyogo clearly has a lot of joy against Rangers. His two goals at the weekend were quick anticipation, he’s so alert and so alive in and around the box,” he told Celtic TV.

“The second goal was a great pass by Matt, and that’s what Kyogo does best – play off the shoulder of the defender. His timing is perfect to be onside and he finished it really really well.

“This weekend will always be about the team, I think there won’t be one player who will have any greater importance or any greater burden to bear on the whole team. We’ll be very connected in the game.”

With the league nearly within grasp, Celtic fans are hopeful that Kyogo will continue his impressive form against Rangers, potentially playing a decisive role in securing the Premiership title.
