Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers spoke to the media at Lennoxtown on Monday afternoon. The Irishman provided updates on several matters.
CeltsAreHere were in attendance and asked the gaffer if he could potentially start Oh and Kyogo up top together in a system involving a duo of strikers. He said: “Oh has come into the game and done very well. He has just given us a different dimension in the game. I have been really pleased with the contribution Oh has made. I am not averse to playing the two together if that’s what the game needs.”
Predominantly this season, we have seen Oh be introduced and Kyogo consequently drop deeper into the ten. Whilst he is a talented player, his abilities are not best utilised in an advanced midfield role.
Due to this, starting the Japan internationalist alongside his fellow Asian frontman could be a prospect Rodgers looks into. Both players bring contrasting qualities, but that is why they could work together effectively.
