Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers was in good spirits after this afternoon’s 3-0 win over Hearts at Celtic Park.

Speaking to the media after the game, the Irishman joked that he will not be watching Rangers’ match against Kilmarnock at Ibrox tomorrow afternoon.

Instead, he revealed that he will be focusing on time with his family.

Rodgers said: [The National], “I’ll be going up to the seaside and enjoying a bit of time up there. I’ll be resting and spending time with the family.”

Rodgers clearly likes to find a balance between football and spending time with his family.

At times, he spends a day off with his family, not letting Rangers’ results consume him.

This approach is clearly the right thing to do, as ultimately, Celtic focus on themselves and how they can improve instead of relying on results going their way.

Despite some doubts surrounding his appointment, Rodgers has hit back in style, with Celtic on the verge of a third consecutive league title and in the Scottish Cup final.

The Irishman could mastermind a league and cup double in his first season back at the club, after previously telling his doubters he would see them at Celtic Park in May.
