BRENDAN RODGERS has managed to sneak in a full-back to Lennoxtown without many people noticing.
It has come to light the Celtic staff have been running the rule over a potential long-term replacement for Mikael Lustig.
Manny Perez (Pictured Below) has been on trial with Celtic over the past few days with a view to the club signing him.
Per @DMVSoccer96, NC State and US U20 defender Manny Perez is training with Scottish giants Celtic. Here is a shot from his Instagram story. Perez played in a couple of games at the Concacaf U20 Championship and scored against the US Virgin Islands. pic.twitter.com/2EYsz7SaAI

Perez, 19, currently plays for North Carolina State University and has been singled out as a big player for the USA national team in the future.
Celtic are looking to up their efforts to bring in a player who can make the right-back position their own in the next year or two.
At 19, it would be a gamble but an inexpensive gamble for the club.
Celtic has an option to sign Mikael Lustig up on a year extension and this clause could be triggered in the coming weeks. Could there be another changing of the guard over a season, much like Kieran Tierney did with Emilio Izaguirre?
The important thing is this shows the scale of Celtic’s current scouting operations as they try and unearth proper talent for the first team.

Bringing in young talent is always worth a look, but keeping Lustig is also prudent.
