It has been revealed that Celtic are to reveal a fourth kit for this season [Footy Headlines].

As of yet there is zero information on what to expect from the kit with Adidas taking two different paths this season.

Currently Celtic have the very sharp looking black and green pinstripe away jersey which is a take on an earlier Celtic away top during the nineties.

There was mixed reviews towards the third kit with it being a rather marmite top that people either loved or loathed with it so far only being worn during the 2-0 away defeat to St Mirren.

A fourth kit would be a first for the Scottish champions with any other change of jersey tending to be one of the previous seasons efforts to avoid any clashes as seen during the two matches against Hibs last season with the black kit that featured the four leaf clover.

In the current climate, it’s an extra expense that people may have to worry about for the kids or whatever and just seems like an extra way of making money.

There is no scheduled release date for the kit with it being unknown whether the team will even wear it in the first place.

Three kits is more than enough, a fourth kit feels like a needless cash grab.

  1. Unless we are playing Sporting Lisbon or Shamrock Rovers is there any need for any other jersey except the Hoops. In the 70s we never changed strip even when playing Hibs. I remember many games when both teams wore their first kits (6-3 Dixies Deans hat trick League Cup Final springs to). We probably need a second jersey but a third and fourth is ripping people off. No need. Spend 45 quid on the Palestine-adelica(?) jersey. A better cause than corporate greed.
