Celtic have this afternoon announced their link-up with Sports Entertainment Network in Australia, which will see the Hoops game broadcast live on SEN.

Over the years, Celtic have had a strong connection with the country, with players such as Mark Viduka and Scott McDonald pulling on the Green and White. Of course, we also have current Aussie internationalist Tom Rogic at the club and ex Socceroos boss Ange Postecoglou.

That pull was displayed even further today when the club announced a deal with Australian radio company Sports Entertainment Network, who will be broadcasting all Celtic games live to their audience on the other side of the globe.

Speaking to the club website about the announcement, the company CEO Craig Hutchison said:

“Celtic is one of the great and progressive clubs in world football, and their connection to Australia via leading players and coach Ange means their big following continues to grow and grow in Australia.

“It’s a fantastic way to start working together to connect to our enthusiastic SEN football fans.”

As Celtic fans will be well aware, the club’s pull of supporters around the globe has always been massive.

With the arrival of Postecoglou, though, it seems to have gone up a notch, and this deal shows that once again.

In November, his side are also set to travel to Australia to take part in the controversial ‘Sydney Cup’, which is also being touted as a homecoming for Ange, who will head back to his homeland.

So, for those supporters down under, they will be getting even more ways to access the Hoops, with the latest announcement from the club.
