Celtic have been drawn against Hearts in the quarter-final draw of the Scottish Cup [@ScottishCup].

The Hoops booked their place in the last eight of the old competition after they hammered St Mirren 5-1 on Saturday evening.

It was another strong performance from Ange Postecoglou’s side as he made only one alteration to the team which started against St Johnstone six days previous in the Scottish Premiership.

New signing Oh Hyeong-gyu was on the scoresheet to net his first goal for Celtic along with Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate and Matt O’Riley to complete the scoring.

Postecoglou’s team have already booked their place in the final of the Viaplay Cup against Rangers which is now less than two weeks away.

The Hoops have already travelled to Tynecastle this season and dramatically won the game 4-3 as VAR took centre stage after a number of suspect decisions.

It will now mean that both sides will face each other twice in March in the space of a few days as Celtic will likely travel through to the capital after the split. The cup match is scheduled for the weekend of 11 March.

Celtic narrowly lost out on making the final of the Scottish Cup last season after they were defeated in extra time and will hope to again return to Hampden.

In recent seasons, the Jambos have cut the allocation of the Hoops support but due to cup rules they will now likely have to give Celtic the full Roseburn Stand.
