Celtic Legend’s Sister Downs Rangers in Cup Final

The Forrest name was back in the limelight on Sunday, as the sister of Celtic hero James Forrest fired Glasgow City to silverware at Fir Park.

Glasgow City faced Rangers in the SWPL Cup Final and it was a devastating 89-second brace that settled it.

Forrest’s sister stole the show with a brilliant brace to hand the league leaders the trophy.

She broke the deadlock in the second half and before Rangers could even regroup, she struck again just 89 seconds later.

The second goal was the pick of the bunch.

Cutting in from the left, she unleashed a stunning effort from outside the box that flew into the top corner. It was a finish her brother would have been proud of.

Rangers did pull one back late on to set up a nervy finish, but Glasgow City held firm to get their hands on the cup.

The match itself almost didn’t go ahead, with blustery conditions forcing a pre-match pitch inspection.

But once it got underway, it was all about one name.

Her brother is a modern-day Celtic legend.

Jamesy is Celtic’s most decorated player, with 13 league titles, seven Scottish Cups, and six League Cups, and has scored in 17 consecutive seasons for the Hoops.
