Watch: Celtic Star and Former Teammate Share Brilliant World Cup Moment

Hyun-jun Yang has given Celtic supporters a rare look at his personality in a brilliant video with former Hoops striker Hyeon-gyu Oh.

The South Korean winger is often quiet in front of Scottish cameras, with the language barrier meaning fans do not always get to see much of him away from the pitch. But a clip shared on X by Celtic Essential shows Yang in far more relaxed form as he and Oh get into a funny โ€œcross debateโ€ at the Korea World Cup camp.

The video has picked up attention among Celtic fans because it shows a completely different side of Yang. Oh, now away from Celtic, starts the exchange by saying: โ€œYou know, I used to watch Yang Hyun-junโ€™s crosses every day during practice.โ€

From there, the pair go back and forward over whether Yang should be putting in more driven balls across the box or mixing up the type of service. It is the kind of conversation every winger and striker has probably had at some point, only this one comes with added drama.

Oh tells him: โ€œSo, Hyun-jun, Iโ€™m telling you, you can do it. That right now. Show me.โ€

Yang plays along with the whole thing, showing a far more lively and confident side than many Celtic supporters are used to seeing.

It comes after a big season for the winger at Parkhead. Yang was part of a double-winning Celtic side and had his best campaign in green and white, hitting double figures for goals, scoring twice in derby matches and also getting on the scoresheet in Europe.

That form has changed the conversation around him. There were times earlier in his Celtic career when supporters were still waiting to see whether he could become a regular contributor. Last season gave a much clearer answer, with Yang adding end product to the pace and direct running he had already shown.

The video with Oh will not decide anything on the pitch, but it does help supporters connect with a player who can sometimes seem reserved from the outside. Yang clearly has personality, confidence and a bit of bite about him when he is in familiar company.

For those already in the Yang Gang, it will only add to the affection. For those still to be convinced, the next step is simple enough: keep delivering when the football starts again.
