CELTIC gave a reasonable reason for why they put out their starting XI graphics.

Fans have moaned for years that the club post the team in numerical order and it’s hard to decipher the squad.

Apparently, it’s by design and was first introduced by Brendan Rodgers. During a live video on CelticTV, it was noted the formation was put out like that to make it difficult for the opposition to know how Celtic were going to set up.

The Celtic TV social media feed confirmed it was Rodgers who came up with the idea and it was continued by Neil Lennon.

It will likely continue under the new manager too. At least we have a reason for it now.

The Hoops have been away in Wales this week and will continue their pre-season training camp into next before heading back to Glasgow.

Ange Postecoglou has a lot more on his plate than what way the starting XI comes out.

We have a massive rebuild still to take shape and the bhoys have to do it while trying to win back their SPFL title.
