CELTIC have been defeated once this season and it came during a fiery game at the Tony Macaroni stadium where Ryan Christie would be sent off for a reckless lunge early in the game.

Neil Lennon’s men never got into a rhythm that day and when they conceded an early goal in the second half it was evident it wasn’t going to be Celtic’s day.

The bhoys lost 2-0 on matchday 8 of the SPFL and let The Rangers overtake them into top spot, a lead that would be held for not even one game after the last international break.

A factor of issues on the day came into play but Livingston wanted the win more and rattled the Scottish Champions. Christopher Jullien admitted after the game he hadn’t expected the treatment he got and he was out of sorts because of it. It was a learning curve for the Frenchman who has since been in tremendous form.

As Celtic get set to take on Livingston at Celtic Park, the players should use the loss earlier in the season to spur them on. They should also be wary Celtic dropped points at home last season to Livingston. They can be a dogged team to breakdown.

Celtic must show their superiority from the off.
