MOUSSA DEMBELE should find out today the extent of his hamstring injury that ended his semi-final prematurely.

The prolific Frenchman was pivotal in Celtic’s opening goal but then had to go off soon after when he pulled his hamstring chasing a lost cause which resulted in a Celtic corner.

It was a heart in mouth moment for the Celtic supporters who were a little subdued after they seen the 32-goal striker limp off. Knowing we had Leigh Griffiths to rely on softened the blow somewhat.

Speaking after the game Brendan Rodgers spoke briefly about his striker

“We will get the scan, but it looks like a hamstring. We’re in late April, The final isn’t till late May so we’re hopeful” said the Irishman.

Celtic put in a dominant performance even without their star striker for most of the game. Dembele’s replacement Griffiths breaking free early in the second half to win the penalty that Scott Sinclair would convert.

We’ll all have our fingers crossed for Moussa.
